Principal Designer – Net Zero Carbon Projects

Part time (21 hours per week), 12 month opportunity

 

Band 4: £21,519 – £25,686 pro rata (£35,856 – £42,811 FTE)

The Diocese of Gloucester is looking to recruit an experienced Principal Designer – Net Zero Carbon Projects to take a lead role in the design and implementation of its energy improvement programme.

Working as part of our friendly Property & Development team, who manage a variety of properties throughout Gloucestershire from modern buildings to historic listed buildings, you will design and manage the rollout of specific energy efficiency improvements across the organisation’s property portfolio of up to 60 properties. This includes solar PV installation and battery, cavity wall insulation, and other effective measures to ensure the organisation remains on target to achieving its net zero targets.

This is a wide encompassing role specialising in design, tendering for services, project management including contractor management knowledge and application of key legislation, stakeholder, and budget management, understanding of and adherence to approved codes of practice and best practice standards.

The post holder will be expected to have a broad-based surveying or construction background with experience in residential property surveys or building maintenance as well as proven capability in dealing with multiple and often conflicting daily priorities.
