HR is the ‘organisational function’ that deals with people. Supporting and developing managers, dealing with ‘people issues’ across the breadth of an employment relationship – from recruitment and selection, training, concerns and issues, legal compliance, and best practice.

Kate manages our DBS systems so links across Safeguarding and HR and safer recruitment practices. She has a key role in supporting parishes with data management questions.
Kate works weekdays except Weds, from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
About HR in the Diocese
The key role for Human Resources for parishes is that we are here to support churches and PCCs in their responsibilities for employees and volunteers. This can include anything from recruitment, data protection, employment advice and guidance, to employee relations and employment laws.
Alice Clark support our churches and PCCs with their employment related issues. These can include template policies, contracts, and general advice and guidance. Popular questions include issues such as: pensions, redundancy, payroll, data protection, health and safety, disciplinary, competency, sickness absence.
