Connect is committed to developing and promoting training and lifelong learning for everyone involved in Children, Youth & Family Ministry, regardless of their background, role, or experience.
Children, Youth & Families Ministry is, by its very nature, a collaborative process. Within a church activities are led by any combination of: clergy, curates, paid “specialists”, experienced volunteers, those helping out who aren’t sure how they got here, young leaders, grandparents, ex-teachers, someone’s mum, the 90 year old who’s been doing it since she was a youth herself, a student who last year was a member of the group.
We have several “off the shelf” training options available – some created by us, some we have developed with training providers, and some which we highly recommend. There are courses and one-off events for new volunteers right through to seasoned professionals.
We are also able to work with local churches, benefices, and Deaneries to create bespoke packages which meet the needs of what you are doing locally.
In addition, Connectors host regional “coffee and chat” events for anyone involved in Children Youth and Family ministry to network, meet like-minded people, or bring a specific question or scenario to explore. We are also able to offer 1-1 mentoring or coaching to those leading Children, Youth and Family ministry in their church.
Essentials Training
All-round training for every volunteer leader. An exciting course to equip and strengthen anyone working with/ministering to children and youth in churches and community projects.
Connect can facilitate or run Essentials training for children’s and youth ministry volunteers in your church, deanery or area. Sometimes we can bring together volunteers from across churches to learn together. Contact the team for more information, find out about the next course, or book one in for your team.
