This weekend, family, friends, clergy and congregations from across the diocese gathered at Gloucester Cathedral to watch and celebrate the ordinations of 18 candidates.
The following candidates were ordained as deacons:
Kate Davies, The Beacon Benefice
Katie Etherington, The Benefice of Ashchurch and Kemerton
Andy Everett, The Vale and Cotswold Edge Team Ministry
Jonathan Harber, Cheltenham, St Luke’s
David Ridal, The South Cotswolds Team Ministry
Oliver Smith, The Benefice of the Moreton Vale Churches
Rosa Speyer, The Parish of St James, Quedgeley
Lorna Theophilus, The Benefice of Highnam, Tibberton with Rudford and Taynton and the Parish of Minsterworth
Denise Wang, The Benefice of the Rivervale Churches
Melissa Webb, The South Cheltenham Churches (to serve in the Parish of St Peter, Leckhampton)
Sarah Wood, The Benefice of Badgeworth, Shurdington and Witcombe with Bentham
The following candidates were ordained as priests, on 27 June at 3pm:

Leah Collins, The Stroudwater Team
Vicky Falvey, The South Cotswold Team Ministry (to serve in the Parish of St Mary the Virgin Fairford)
Jennifer Fellows, Cheltenham: St Matthews and The Minster and Cooper’s Edge Mission Initiative
Debbie Godsell, The Benefice of Lower Cam with Coaley and the Parish of Slimbridge (Debbie also works with adults with learning disabilities at The Hatch Camp Hill)
Debbie Orriss, Gloucester Cathedral
Thomas Powe, Gloucester, St Paul and St Stephen’s (Thomas also works as a School Business Manager at Valley Bridge School, Gloucester)
Eleven people were ordained as deacons and seven were ordained as priests over the weekend, responding to God’s call to serve and marking an important milestone in their vocation and ministry.
