Together for the Church of England is a new national organisation which is working towards two objectives:
- To unite those seeking to remove all discrimination in the Church of England, especially where it is embodied in the formal and legal structures of the Church.
- To work for a Church of England in which people of differing convictions live together in unity.
Work has started to set up a Together in Gloucester Diocese Network and you are invited to be a part of this new initiative.
Margaret Sheather, Diocese of Gloucester General Synod Lay member said, “The national body has been formed by those of us working towards these aims in the General Synod, where our close and well-organised work has helped keep progress moving on Living in Love and Faith and other inclusion areas such as racial justice, gender equality and disability access. We recognise that in the long term the Church would be well served by the development of diocesan networks, and over 30 networks have already been set up.”

Before then the group is setting up a mailing list so that inclusive Christians in the diocese can be in touch with each other.
