Stranger to friend: Resources for a welcoming church

Some of these people may be on the fringes of our worshipping communities, some may never have been to church before and some may have stopped coming for a while, but felt the need to return.

When people visit or join a church, often, it’s the personal relationships that they make which allow them to decide whether they want to be part of your worshipping community.

They enter the building often feeling uncertain of what to do, where to sit and whether they are even welcome in the church. Kindness, conversation and invitation go a long way towards making people feel at home.
