In January 2023, we welcomed Charlotte Butcher to our Youth Connect Team as the new West Deaneries Youth Connector.
Here is Charlotte’s introduction:
“Hi, I’m Charlotte and I’ve been involved in youth ministry for the past 11 years. Until September 2021, Youth and Children’s work was my full-time job. Now, I spend most of my week being a Family Support Specialist in Tewkesbury and surrounding villages. I love working with families, children and young people, supporting them to be the best they can be.
“I’ve lived in the Forest of Dean for 90% of my life but, since moving back post-pandemic, I have a new-found love of the walks and natural beauty here. Most weekends you’ll find me out walking with my fiancé and dachshund (Habakkuk), exploring new places in Gloucestershire and South Wales.
“I’m so excited to be a part of the Youth Connectors team, particularly to be able to support youth workers in the West Deaneries. I know that this kind of ministry can be isolating and overwhelming at times. My hope for this role is that I will be able to come alongside you, pray with you and support you practically, emotionally and spiritually whenever I can.
