Evangelism: Sharing our faith

Easter to Pentecost Lectionary reflections

This first resource is a series of Easter to Pentecost Lectionary reflections. Individuals can use them to focus on sharing faith through the readings during that time, and the resource could also help with sermon prep.

Telling Your Story – group exercise

This second resource is a guide to telling your story; for use in small groups, home groups, coffee mornings etc, or as part of an away day. The resource is useful to work through with others, so you can practice sharing your story with your friends.

You can buy a bundle that comes with sharing Jesus DVD and book. It’s 5 sessions long. “This course includes activities to increase confidence in speaking more openly about personal faith and experiences of God with fellow Christians.”

There is also a Sharing Your Faith paperback; this is 6 sessions long. Both of these also have suggestions for worship during the sessions so you may well be able to use them in a café church setting. “This course will enable you to discuss and answer challenging questions to help people understand what it means to follow Jesus.”

Sharing Jesus, how to put faith into words
Note from Sonya: I was passed the book by my Area Dean and it’s an amazing resource. It has a different subject on each page, like a little encyclopaedia. Written collaboratively, there are pages on; tools for evangelism, how can we use creativity to share the gospel, top tips for starting a conversation about faith, help I’m an introvert, reaching older people with the good news, and more. A great resource, I’ve ordered my own copy!
