Greetings from Bishop Rachel on Rosh Hashanah

Greetings on the festival of Jewish new year (Rosh Hashanah) from sundown 22 September to nightfall Sept 24:

“At this time of Rosh Hashanah, I send my heartfelt good wishes to Jewish friends, colleagues and communities here in the Diocese of Gloucester and across the UK and around the world.

I give thanks for our common humanity and for all that unites us. At the start of this new year may there be a looking back with thanksgiving to God for the gift of life and for the blessings of the last year, and a looking forward with expectant hearts. Where there is pain, hurt and conflict, may we be people of reconciliation together. At this special time of celebration with families and communities, please be assured of my prayers for peace, security and blessing for you all. Shanah Tovah!”
