Farewell Service and Consecration for Archdeacon Jackie (Ticket date extended)

Published: Thursday July 26, 2018

From Archdeacon Jackie

“As I return from my Sabbatical I wish to say a big thank you to all who have enabled me to have the space for learning, study, prayer and reflection. It has of course also become a time in which I have been interviewed and appointed to a new ministry. Thank you for the cards and messages that have been sent since the announcement that I will be moving at the end of September to be the next Bishop of Crediton in Exeter Diocese. It is very exciting, but I will miss Gloucester Diocese hugely and I hope that I will see as many people as possible at my farewell service on Tuesday 4 September in Gloucester Cathedral at 7pm.

I would also like to invite all who would like to come, to attend my Consecration Service which will be held at Southwark Cathedral, London, on Thursday 27 September at 11am and will be conducted by the Archbishop of York. I would love to have Gloucester support, there is no limit on numbers at the service and all are welcome. You do, however, need a ticket, so if you would like to come please click HERE to go to the eventbrite page to book your ticket by Thursday 23 August.

Consecration service form

If you are a member of clergy please indicate in your covering email if you would like to robe.

It may be possible to arrange a coach from Gloucester if there is significant interest.  There would be a charge for this. Please let Alison know if you are interested.

With all good wishes, thanks and prayers.”

I am not going to be able to attend your consecration, but congratulations!
May your ministry and life continue to be blessed.
