The Energy Footprint Tool (EFT) is now open for 2026 (to submit energy data from 2025).
Completing the EFT is part of our shared journey to Net Zero Carbon — each year’s data builds a clearer picture of carbon use and helps us act more strategically together.
By filling in your EFT you enable your church to make wise, targeted decisions to reduce your carbon footprint. The EFT can help highlight where energy is wasted and may help reduce your energy costs.
It takes less than an hour and anyone with access to your energy bills can complete it. Filling in your Energy Footprint Tool is an unseen but essential act of caring for God’s people and creation.
Erica Siddall, Strategic Net Zero Carbon Lead (clergy housing specialism) said, “Last year the majority of churches filled in their Energy Footprint Tools, which was fabulous, and this year we need even more to do so. This year is special because it marks the beginning of our group journey towards the Eco Diocese Silver Award. Filling in the EFT may be a small action but it indicates commitment to our Marks of Mission, and for certain funding opportunities available to PCCs, it is a pre-requisite. So please grab your utility bills and fill in the information. It may unlock doors for your faith community.”
