As Bishop Sarah Mullally is announced as the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Bishop Rachel welcomes her appointment.
Bishop Rachel said, “On this historic day, I warmly welcome Bishop Sarah’s appointment. She and the church both here and in the wider Anglican Communion are in my prayers as we live the present looking to the future.
“My hope and prayer is that we can now rediscover a humble confidence in being the Church as we live and share the Kingdom good news of Jesus Christ.”
