Evie started in the role over eight months ago and has worked to employ a committed team of people to support the six dioceses of the West Midlands to promote racial equity in our Church and wider society.

We thank Evie for her commitment and contributions to the project and wish her well for the future.

Work around promoting racial justice continues, and much learning has already been shared across our dioceses. This includes providing training across our worshipping communities, the development of special resources for youth engagement and during Black History Month, clergy and curates from UKME backgrounds sharing their joys, challenges, and hopes for the future of the Church of England over social media. There is also the key focus of Racial Justice Sunday for all dioceses in February 2025.
