The Revd Dr Cate William’s role as Environmental Engagement Officer is coming to an end this December.
Cate has worked in the diocese for 10 years and over the last four years in the environment role. Cate has built a foundation on which we will continue to create positive change for the flourishing of all creation, recognising the impact that our relationship with creation has on both nature and people, for good or for ill.
Her work, among many things, has led to the release of national funding which has enabled a regional environmental approach working closely with the Diocese of Hereford and Worcester. This work will continue to include local support and advice for worshipping communities as we remain committed to becoming a net zero carbon diocese by 2030. We will also continue to celebrate that we are currently a Bronze Eco Diocese and share good news stories across the diocese.
Cate is a passionate and dedicated environmentalist and an advocate for global environmental justice, speaking out for the young, the poor and the disadvantaged who suffer most from the impact of climate change.
We would like to thank her for all that she has enabled and her work in developing environmental networks and partnerships across the diocese and beyond.
