A message from Chair of Sportily, Kevan Taylor.
“After four years as Project Director and then CEO of Sportily, David Thorpe has decided to step down as CEO at the end of the year.
“David, Tim Hastie-Smith and the Sportily leadership team have been instrumental in driving Sportily’s vision to transform the Church’s engagement with children, young people and their families through excellent local sport and spiritual well-being provision.
“On behalf of the Trustees and Sportily team, I would like to offer David our thanks for all that he has achieved during his time with Sportily. He will be missed by everyone and we are grateful that connections will still be maintained as David will retain his strategic projects role with the Diocese of Gloucester.
“The Trustees are now making plans for future recruitment and are pleased and grateful that David expects to stay in the role until the end of December giving plenty of time for this transition.”
