‘Quick wins’ for working towards Net Zero Carbon
This annual Fit for Function conference is for anyone involved in the care of church buildings, including PCC members, Churchwardens and clergy.
The day will cover a broad spectrum of topics to inspire action; from improving biodiversity, to gaining a recognised accreditation such as ‘Eco Church’, to understanding small alterations or repairs to fabric, to creating culture change.
The idea is to think holistically about sustainability in cases where more significant interventions such as heat pumps and solar panels may be less practicable, and to see how churches can make further links with their local communities in pursuing NetZero.
There will be speakers from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, Caring for God’s Acre, Church of England’s Net Zero Programme, Ecclesiastical Insurance, EcoChurch, and Gloucester DAC Sustainability Adviser Matt Fullford.
