Tewkesbury Abbey is celebrating the Season of Creation this autumn with some special events:
Hidden nature trail, 2 September to 20 October
A free family trail around the Abbey.
Wild about the Abbey, 7 September, 10.30am to 12pm
A turn-up and join-in, family friendly, all-age event, exploring the amazing trees around the Abbey with a scavenger hunt, bark rubbing, leaf collages and making pine cone bird feeders.
Sleepers wake book club
Nick Holtham’s book was the Archbishop of York’s’ Advent book for 2022. This is a short book club running from Creationtide to Advent, running in person or online via Zoom. There are four sessions, each book explores a different theme of the book.
9 September – The Writing is on the Wall
14 October – Finding our Place
11 November – Being Human
9 December – What can I bring Him?

climate crisis.
Wild worship about the Abbey, 28 September, 10.30am to 12pm, Abbey Grounds, Rose Garden
“And it was good” – a family friendly, all age, interactive act of worship exploring the goodness of creation, with the help of apples.
Harvest festival, 6 October, 9.30am, Tewkesbury Abbey
People are asked to bring donations of non-perishable gifts to this.
