Amy, Barrie and Vicky, our Diocesan Youth Connectors, have launched a podcast for young people.
Connected, a Christian podcast for young people in Gloucestershire and beyond, will feature two short episodes each month, the first a conversation with an inspirational Christian from everyday life. They’ll share their story and how their faith helps them in their work and life. These conversations will be followed up with the Youth Connectors chatting about the subjects raised, how that impacts young people, and random references to cake.
The introduction episode is out now, and the first conversation is a moving chat with Alex, a Ukrainian who worked at Kyiv University until the war broke out. He shares his personal story of displacement, how his faith is helping him understand conflict and how he is discovering the presence of God in a war-torn country.
Senior Youth Connector, Barrie Voyce, said, “Podcasts are popular with lots of young people, but we noticed that there wasn’t a Christian one aimed specifically at them, so we decided to make our own. It’s been a fun journey for us discovering the tech and learning how to do it, and we know it’ll be a bit shaky at first! We’ve got some amazing guests lined up – people you might not expect with fantastic stories that make us think and inspire us to put Jesus at the heart of our everyday lives.”
You can find the latest pod on our Children Youth and Families page or directly here.
