Government’s final responses on Domestic Abuse Bill Amendment

House of LordsIn a final series of statements on the imminent Domestic Abuse Bill, the Government has responded to Bishop Rachel’s proposed Amendment regarding support for migrant victims of domestic abuse.

Speaking on behalf of Bishop Rachel, Lord Rosser said, “I would urge the Government to consider all victims of Domestic Abuse as victims first. It is therefore regrettable that recourse to public funds has not been made available to a small but extremely vulnerable group of migrant victims.”
