RECTOR of the CHURN VALLEY BENEFICE

Published: Thursday October 9, 2025

The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a Rector to these villages at a time of great opportunity as these churches seek to grow in working together to serve their communities in mission and outreach in this stunning part of the Cotswolds, and at a time when the  deanery is implementing creative and innovative collaboration.

The benefice is praying for an engaging and creative leader who will:

  • enrich the faith of the church communities that they may be renewed in mission
  • explore innovative ways of engagement, especially with younger generations, schools and colleges
  • enjoy and nurture collaborative ministry with the clergy and lay leaders
  • work as part of the deanery family, especially with a soon to be appointed Deanery Operations Lead, lay and ordained colleagues

For the right candidate, there is also the possibility of sharing a role within the Deanery Leadership Team.
