Webinar: South Sudan conversations
Thursday October 22, 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Free
This week colleagues and partners from South Sudan have been travelling around the UK, talking with Christian Aid supporters about the situation in their country and the work being done to help millions of people caught up in the humanitarian crisis.
Christian Aid is holding a remote event in order to be part of these conversations. They have organised a webinar on Thursday 22 October 22 at 7pm.
It’ll be online via Zoom. Guests include Angelina Nyajima Simon Jial – the founder and Director of Hope Restoration South Sudan who works with women and girls affected by gender-based violence. She will be talking about the realities facing communities and the importance of locally-led change, as well as how churches can stand alongside, working for justice and hope.
James Wani, who is Christian Aid’s Programme & Partnership Lead in South Sudan, will also be speaking about the importance of churches in creating change and how collective action can bring hope.
