Pilgrim: a course for the Christian journey

Tuesday 5 November 2024, 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

St Mary Magdalene Church in Elmstone Hardwicke is offering a group for enquirers and new Christians who want to learn more about the Christian faith.

The group is for:

  • Those who have recently started coming to Church
  • Those who want the chance to think about Christian faith
  • Those preparing for baptism or confirmation
  • Those who have been Christians for many years and want to visit the roots of their faith again.

It is a new discipleship and teaching resource from the Church of England that encourages participation through biblical reflection and prayer. It is divided into two parts: Follow, which introduces the Christian faith, and Grow, which deepens discipleship.

The group will meet fortnightly at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings, with food (such as pizza and salads) starting from 24 September.

The initial commitment is for 6 weeks and is estimated to carry on through to spring 2025. The dates for the first six weeks take place on every other Tuesday, with the dates being 24 September, 8 October, 22 October, 5 November, 19 November, 3 December.

If you would like a place, or if you would like more information, contact the leaders of The Pilgrim group, Sarah Jones at ku.oc1776384398.bewp1776384398tc@ha1776384398ras1776384398, and Shelagh Holder at moc.k1776384398ooltu1776384398o@red1776384398loh-h1776384398galeh1776384398s1776384398.
