‘If only you knew what made for peace’, by The Very Revd Canon Richard Sewell

Sunday February 15, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Free

The Very Revd Canon Richard SewellThe Very Revd Canon Richard Sewell, Dean of St George’s College, Jerusalem is holding a talk in Tewkesbury Abbey, called ‘If only you knew what made for peace’. Living and serving in the heart of the Holy Land since 2018, Dean Richard has become a globally respected spokesperson and a regular voice on international media regarding the tragedies in Israel and Palestine.

With a background in major inter-faith projects and decades of ministry, he offers a rare eyewitness perspective on the conflict. His ‘radical empathy’ and deep theological insight provide a unique bridge across bitter divides. In a time of simplified headlines, this is a vital opportunity to hear a nuanced, compassionate reflection on the ‘way of peace’ from someone at the centre of the situation.

Refreshments are from 2pm.
