Called by Name residential weekend
A two-day event for ordinands, curates and those discerning. This is a residential weekend of worship, community and support for UKME Christians exploring lay or ordained ministry. The programme includes teaching, reflection and shared prayer, helping participants deepen their sense of calling in a safe and affirming environment.
This is held at Sarum College, to explore vocation and ministry in the Church of England, created for those of UKME.

This event is jointly organised by the Minority Ethnic Vocations Ministry, the Diocese of Salisbury, Sarum College, and UKME Ordinands and Curates.

The annual national UKME vocations weekend takes place at Sarum College, Salisbury from 11-13 September. It’s for anyone who is on the journey to lay or ordained ministry including ordinands, curates and those discerning their call. It is a time of fellowship, mutual learning and support. Speakers include the Rt Revd Karen Gorham, Bishop of Sherborne, the Revd Edith Iheama from the UKME Ordinands and Curates Network and the Revd Nigel Done, Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Ministry Formation Team Leader for Salisbury Diocese. The weekend is a collaboration between the National Vocations Team, the Diocese of Salisbury, Sarum College, and UKME Ordinands and Curates.
