New Trustee – Viney Hill

Published: Monday May 18, 2026

Viney Hill Christian Adventure Centre is a charitable business, based in the Forest of Dean, which is closely connected with and supported by the Diocese of Gloucester. The charity is overseen by a Trustee Board, with the majority of trustees appointed by the Bishop’s Council.

Viney Hill seeks to provide exciting, educational outdoor experiences for groups (particularly young people), rooted in its Christian ethos but open to visitors from all backgrounds.  The work of the Charity is described in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtkU-gXBwGk

The Trustee Board is looking to recruit a new trustee who would be willing to be part of a sub-committee called the Staffing Group, which has three primary functions –

1. Support Senior Management in the recruitment and retention of staff.

2. Carry out an annual salary review and make proposals to the main Trustee Board.

3. Assist Senior Centre Management in resolving non-routine HR issues as required.

The Group meets formally once per year and also as needed for recruitment and HR issues if and when they arise. Trustees also attend full board meetings which take place six times per year.  Spring/summer meetings are in person at Viney Hill, and winter meetings are held online. The trustees are looking ideally for somebody who has previous HR experience.
