Can you imagine preaching a sermon about a Bible passage in just 180 seconds? What insights and views would you bring? What challenge should you deliver? What encouragement could you give?
Now is your chance to enter the Cheltenham Christian Arts Festival’s third Sermon Slam. For the very first time, the event final will be live online.
We are all different, with something unique to say.
And, for that reason, the Sermon Slam competition is open to people of all ages. So, whether you’re young, midlife or beautifully mature, we’d love to hear what you have to say.
If you feel called and/or excited by this opportunity to preach on a Bible passage of your choice in your own style, then just submit a video recording (landscape) of your 3-minute sermon to gro.l1733529810avits1733529810efstr1733529810anait1733529810sirhc1733529810@ikki1733529810n1733529810 by midday on Saturday 3 April 2021 so it can be considered for selection by our panel of judges.
The Sermon Slam judges will score video entries on the clarity of the word/message and the quality of presentation. And, for entrants who go through to the final, the audience will have a say too!
If you get through to the final live Sermon Slam, you will need to prepare a new message on a different Bible text to share live at the event on Saturday 24 April 2021 at 7pm.
There will be a prize for the winner. But, much more important than that, every entrant has a golden opportunity to have their say and be heard by our judges. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to choose a scripture and start preparing, polishing, perfecting and pre-recording your meaty mini 3-minute message for Sermon Slam 2021.
