We are very sorry to announce that The Rt Revd Patrick Harris died early on Boxing Day morning.
He had been ill for some time. Bishop Patrick had a long and distinguished ministry in this country and in South America. He was Bishop of Southwell from 1988 – 1999 and later an Honorary Assistant Bishop in this Diocese.
Bishop Rachel and Bishop Robert ask the Diocese to join with them in giving thanks for his ministry and his faith and in holding Val, his family and the people of the parish of St Philip and James Cheltenham where he and Val have made their home in your prayers.
