Across Gloucester city food assistance is provided for homeless people in the following locations:

Monday        noon Salvation Army, 9pm soup run Eastgate Street pedestrian area.

Tuesday       11am-12.30pm Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cromwell Street.

12.30pm drinks Outdoor Church, bandstands Gloucester Park.

Wednesday 11am-12.30pm Gloucester City Mission, George Whitfield Centre.

noon-2pm (not free) Brunswick Baptist Church.

9pm soup run Eastgate Street.

Thursday     7.40-8.40 (doors close) Breakfast Club, Cathedral Coffee Shop.

noon-2pm (not free) Brunswick Baptist Church.

Thursday    11am-12.30pm Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cromwell Street

Friday         11.30am meal, The Galley, Mariners Hall, Llanthony Road.

noon-2pm (not free) Brunswick Baptist Church.

Saturday    9pm-10.30pm food handout across city centre by Project Beacon.

 

Drop in Centres

P3 –Mon-Fri, 10am to 5pm from 13 Ladybellegate street office

CAB – Mon-Fri, 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Green Square – information on their website of various drop in locations and times.

GCC – Mon-Fri 9.30am to 5pm at Herbert warehouse

GARAS – (only for non-uk clients) – Mon, Wed and Fri, 10am to 4pm.

Youth Support team – (for clients aged 16 to 19.) Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm from 48 London Road or call the Fast Track Team on 01452 547540.

In Gloucester there is a  Faith & Voluntary Community Sector Homeless and Vulnerable Forum with membership inclusive of but not limited to, representatives from all faiths in Gloucester, Voluntary & Community Sector and relevant Service Providers.

The purpose of the forum is to:-

  • Increase awareness of homelessness and encourage partnership working across all sectors.
  • Share experiences between members to help support and improve services for those at risk of being made homeless and those who are currently experiencing homelessness.
  • Work collectively to reduce homelessness in Gloucester and the wider area
  • Bring together faith groups, voluntary sector and relevant statutory partners to share service experience and provision within the area.
