Two overseas bishops from partner churches in America and Africa are currently visiting the Diocese of Gloucester.
Bishop Mary Gray-Reeves of El Camino Real and Bishop Sadock Makaya of Western Tanganyika in Tanzania will be in the country until Sunday.
Tomorrow, on 19 June, Bishop Sadock will be visiting All Saints’ Academy, Bishop Mary will be going to Gloucester Academy and they will both have a tour of Winchcombe Academy.
Including the Bishop of Tewkesbury, there will be three bishops present at the Gloucester Cathedral ordinations this weekend.
The Diocese of Gloucester has been in a triangular partnership with the Diocese of El Camino Real in California and the Diocese of Western Tanganyika in Tanzania since 2008. The three dioceses span a wide breadth of Anglican beliefs.
