The Missing Peace book launch – an evening with special guest, Bishop Rachel
What if the peace we long for isn’t something to earn or strive for, but a sacred treasure already within us, waiting in silence to be discovered? What if this discovery could transform not just our lives, but the world around us?
This is a special evening to mark the publication of The Missing Peace: Meditation as a Spiritual Path to Peace, Community and Oneness by Chris Whittington, Founder of The School of Contemplative Life, home to the UK’s largest online Christian meditation practice community.
Chris will be joined by special guest Bishop Rachel.
Together they will explore how meditation (silent prayer) can help us to find the peace that is missing from our lives – and help us rediscover the contemplative wisdom that might described as the missing piece of much contemporary Christianity.
The evening will include:
- A conversation between Chris and Bishop Rachel
- Readings from The Missing Peace
- An open Q&A
- Silent meditation practice
Please also join them for drinks, nibbles and a book signing between 8.15pm and 9.15pm.
