Longhope scarecrow trail

All Saints Church, Longhope is hosting the Longhope Scarecrow Trail.

The event will feature over 40 scarecrows scattered across the valley of Longhope (including Bishop Rachel situated at the welcome gate of the church). The weekend has a variety of activities, including tea and cake in the church, a BBQ and bar at the Rec, live entertainment, and a Harvest Festival Service Sunday morning followed by the annual harvest supper and auction to end the event.

Trail sheets will be available from Hope Cottage, Latchen, or the church, and there will be a £50 prize for the best scarecrow, £25 2nd and £10 3rd. These are all sponsored by Carters, who carried out the recent repairs to the tower.

Saturday:
10.30am to 1.30pm – tea and cake in the church
12.30pm onwards – BBQ and bar open at the rec
3pm – Terry King and his Golden Shoes at the Pavillion
5pm – Entertainment with Shannon Sherwood

Sunday:
9.30am – Harvest festival service in church
12pm – Harvest Supper in the Latchen Rooms
