Safeguarding Conference: Courage to care, Building safer worshipping communities together
Safeguarding isn’t just a duty – it’s what helps our worshipping communities feel safe, welcome, and confident to take part in every aspect of community life.
This one-day gathering is for everyone who plays a part in that work: parish safeguarding officers, clergy, youth and children’s workers, pastoral visitors, and anyone who cares about creating safer spaces.
Our keynote speaker, Dr Lisa Oakley, will open the day by exploring the sensitive and important issue of spiritual abuse.
Led by the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and colleagues from mission and ministry, the day will offer inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, and time to connect with local support services and each other.
