Christian Aid 80th anniversary webinar

Christian Aid is hosting a webinar as part of their 80th anniversary celebrations, looking back on eight decades of hope in action.

The event takes place online, on Wednesday 24 September 24 from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Guests will hear some of the remarkable stories from the past 80 years, of supporters, partners, programmes and achievements.

Alongside volunteers and current staff, former staff members Sue Richardson, who worked as a theology advisor, and Martin Gage, who co-ordinated supporters and churches in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire and travelled to visit partners and projects overseas, will be sharing some of their personal experiences. Pete Moorey, Head of Community and Church Fundraising and Engagement, will be explaining how the decades have shaped the organisation and its future direction.

Pete said: “We’re looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and some new ones as we reflect on the work of our colleagues and partners over the years. The stories, achievements and knowledge which have shaped us so far are the foundations which we build on for the future.”
