SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid Training Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training programme. Through the training participants will gain the skills and confidence to spot the triggers and signs of mental health problems and be able to contribute effectively to reducing stigma. \nThis course is designed for someone who would like to take on a role after the course of promoting a positive mental health culture and being a point of contact if someone is experiencing mental ill health. \nThis course will be over 2 days – 4 and 11 October 2024 from 9.00am – 5.00pm.  Venue TBC \nOne day and half day courses are also available. \nTo book a place please email ku.gro.coidsolg@gniniartgnidraugefas \n

SUMMARY:Raising awareness of domestic abuse
DESCRIPTION:There is a requirement that the Raising awareness of domestic abuse course is completed by all clergy\, PTO\, Readers\, Bishop and Pastoral visitors\, Parish Safeguarding Officers\, PCC and lay chapter members. It is estimated that domestic abuse affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men. Therefore\, we will all know people who are victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse. \nThe aim of the module is designed to equip participants to engage thoughtfully and proactively with the issue of domestic abuse and those affected. \nWe recognise that not everyone will wish to complete modules online so we are also offering some face-to-face sessions.
