SUMMARY:Raising Awareness of Domestic Abuse Training
DESCRIPTION:There is a requirement that the Raising awareness of domestic abuse course is completed by all clergy\, PTO\, Readers\, Bishop and Pastoral visitors\, Parish Safeguarding Officers\, all those who have a role with children\, young people and vulnerable adults and lay chapter members. It is estimated that domestic abuse affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men. Therefore\, we will all know people who are victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse. \nThe aim of the module is designed to equip participants to engage thoughtfully and proactively with the issue of domestic abuse and those affected. \nWe recognise that not everyone will wish to complete modules online so we are also offering some face-to-face sessions. DESCRIPTION:The Worship Leaders Course from the Diocese of Gloucester offers lay people the chance to gain formal training before receiving permission to lead Services of the Word and all-age worship. It’s a great way to serve your church community\, enabling collaborative and intergenerational leadership\, and ensuring services can still happen when clergy aren’t available. \nThe course is a mix of practical learning and exploring what worship means\, drawing from the Bible\, the rich traditions of Christian spirituality\, and contemporary experience. DESCRIPTION:There is a requirement that the Responding Well to Domestic Abuse Training course is completed by all clergy\, PTO\, Readers\, Bishop and Pastoral visitors\, Parish Safeguarding Officers\, PCC and lay chapter members. It is estimated that domestic abuse affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men. Therefore\, we will all know people who are victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse. \nThe aim of the module is designed to equip participants to engage thoughtfully and proactively with the issue of domestic abuse and those affected. \nWe recognise that not everyone will wish to complete modules online so we are also offering some face-to-face sessions.
