DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 14 January 2026         1.15pm-2.45pm                     Online \nNo cost to schools – for Headteachers and guest. Our termly training and update sessions called ILLUMINATE for Church school leaders will take place online. As well as the latest news\, information and updates that are important for Church school leaders\, each ILLUMINATE includes a longer training item or discussion on a specific area of current interest\, often including examples of good practice from our schools. A guest may also register to attend with the headteacher eg RE subject leader\, Deputy Headteacher or Senior Leader. Please book separately for each individual who will be attending the course. SUMMARY:Run the Race Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Therefore\, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses\, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely\, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us\, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith\, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross\, disregarding its shame\, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.  \nHebrews 12:1-2  \nHow do we run the race with endurance\, not falling into trying\, but rather training? \nWhat would it mean to make choices that allow us to flourish\, rest\, be more creative\, and joyful?  \nAs I have listened to felt needs around the Diocese\, how we are to manage our time\, make good choices about what to do and\, probably more importantly\, what not to do\, has come up all over the place.
