Sometimes it can be difficult to keep our preaching on the Lectionary Gospel fresh, especially when the same stories and episodes come up in subsequent years, and when the text is divided up and disjointed across the year.
In this session, we will explore an approach to Mark’s Gospel which enables us to hear the writer’s distinctive voice and themes, and to deepen our appreciation for the whole Gospel and its unique portrayal of Jesus.
It will greatly aid our learning together if participants have read the entire Gospel of Mark beforehand.
