The chaplaincy team at Gloucestershire Hospitals are running a training course for those interested in joining the volunteer team who have been recommended by their Incumbent.
It starts on 10 January and runs on subsequent Wednesday mornings until 6 March, 9:15am – 12:30pm.
If accepted onto the team, volunteers are expected to be able to give one morning a week to support patients at Gloucestershire Royal or Cheltenham General Hospitals.
The team offer spiritual, pastoral and religious care to those of all religious backgrounds, and none, and volunteers need to be sensitive to the needs of patients.
The sessions are held in the hospitals, mostly at Gloucester – with a couple at Cheltenham.
If you are interested in exploring this further and have been recommended by your Incumbent, please contact the Lead Chaplain, John Thompson, for further information. ten.s1738872498hn@011738872498nospm1738872498oht.n1738872498hoj1738872498
