FireWatch
“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit”
FireWatch is a safe space to worship and encounter God.
There will be an “order of service” to follow, with words to say out loud together. You won’t be expected to sing, but can join in if you’d like to,
The evening will run a bit like this:
We gather & prepare our hearts
Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hidden: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
We pray
Holy Spirit, sent by the Father, ignite in us your holy fire; strengthen your children with the gift of faith, revive your church with the breath of love, and renew the face of the earth, through Jesus Christ our LORD Amen.
We listen to a Bible reading & a leader shares some thoughts
We respond
There are activities around the church where you interact, create and respond to God’s message,
You can choose to do one, some, all or none of these – there is also a space to chill either in silence or to speak to one another or with a leader.
We share bread & wine together
Almighty God, we thank you for feeding us with the body and blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. Through him we offer you our souls and bodies to be a living sacrifice. Send us out in the power of your Spirit to live and work to your praise and glory. Amen.
We receive God’s blessing
We grab a hot chocolate in the café and stay for a chat
Date: Saturday 18 May, 6pm – 7.30pm
