Join Cate Williams and Julie Nelson for a day of Carbon Awareness Training.
Carbon Awareness is a short 4 hour course, introducing participants to key questions around engaging with climate change in church life. It cover fours questions for an hour each:
Participants will leave the course better equipped to make positive changes in their own household as well as feeling more confident to engage both with church, and others to encourage more people to take this seriously.
As a short 4 hour course, Carbon Awareness can either be delivered as a whole or split into two or more sessions. This pilot of this new material will be on Saturday 8 July, 9.30am-2.30pm at Whiteway Colony Hall GL6 7ER (Please see the note on directions below)
Participants will need to spend 20 minutes before the course completing a simple carbon footprint tool: https://footprint.wwf.org.uk/
Please note that participants will need to brign their own lunch, but drinks are provided.
This training is free of charge, but spaces are limited so please sign up here by clicking the booking form here.
This session will be led by Cate Williams (our Environmental Engagement Officer) and Julie Nelson.

Directions: Whiteway Colony Hall GL6 7ER
The postcode will get you to Whiteway. Please follow these directions to find the Colony Hall.
From Gloucester direction, B4070 Birdlip towards Stroud; turn left at Fostons Ash pub, and almost immediately, take a left again towards Miserden and Whiteway. As you come down through the village, just after the phone box and postbox on the left and bus shelter on the right there is a turning left, signposted ‘Colony Hall and reading room’. Narrow, unmade lane leads down to parking area by hall. Please park considerately, avoiding blocking house and garden entrances.
From Cirencester direction, the Daneway takes you from Sapperton towards Miserden. Bypassing Miserden on the right, continue down the hill and keep straight on towards Whiteway (don’t take the left turn to Camp). Once in Whiteway, continue up the hill, passing two large painted parrots in the hedge on the left. Shortly after, there is a turning right, signposted ‘Colony Hall…’ (see above). If you pass the phone box and post box on the right, you have gone too far!
If in doubt, phone Julie Nelson on 07920 253157
