Parish Bereavement Visitors offer pastoral and listening support to church members and the wider community at a time when it is most needed. They also play a vital missional role in funeral ministry by helping to connect the bereaved to the pastoral support offered by their local parish church.
Bereavement visitors need to be good listeners and able to relate sensitively to a wide range of different people.
This course is suitable for lay church members wishing to be locally commissioned for bereavement ministry. It is also suitable for Readers or ordained funeral ministers wishing to refresh their knowledge about bereavement ministry.
Course Dates: 18 September, 25 September, 2 October and 9 October
