What parishes need to do:
- Make sure that your PCC has adopted the House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Policy: ‘Promoting a Safer Church’
- Print off an A3 poster for your parish notice board: Poster
- Adopt the House of Bishop’s safeguarding policy (this is for adults and children). Ensure that safeguarding arrangements are clearly visible on the front page of the parish website. Model Parish Safeguarding Policy
- Make sure you have a parish safeguarding officer.
- Check that safeguarding is on your regular PCC agenda
- Make sure there is a safeguarding report within your APCM paperwork.
- Sign up for the Safeguarding Dashboard.
