Anticipation, excitement, a twinge of anxiety, so many feelings as we launched the first learning hubs for the Children’s Ministry Essentials (CME) programme in Gloucester and Newent, but hurrah!, we now have 12 people (a good Biblical number) signed up and more hubs bubbling up in the New Year.
At first glance a ten module learning programme feels like a lot, but the commitment is two to three hours per module and once registered participants have two years to work through the material. Like any course there is additional reading, videos or podcasts you could engage with but it’s all optional. The material is all online and you can dip in and out so it doesn’t depend on you having a clear two to three hours.
The two new hubs, which include people from six of our nine deaneries, have chosen to study the first two modules independently over two months then come together as a tutor group to support each other and share their learning.
There are lots of ways CME it can work, so if you would like to dip your toe into some really accessible and high quality children’s ministry training do contact Jo, or if you would like to sign up to our next CME group, click here for Gloucester or here for Newent.
