Job Summary:
General administration in support of the benefice. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Dealing with enquiries both on the phone and email and engaging with the correct people
- Safeguarding records
- Log volunteers, role descriptions DBS checks and training
- Management of policies for the Benefice
- Being the nominated GDPR Controller.
- Ensuring papers are in place for meetings
- Processing churchyard memorial applications
- Wedding, baptism and funeral support
- Supporting the production of service sheets for “Special Services” as required
- Keeping bookings calendar for churches e.g. for concerts, services and visits.
- Managing Benefice assets such as printer, laptop, mobile & ordering office supplies
- Website updates through liaison with the webmaster
- Update, maintain and seek fresh material for Facebook pages
- Making suggestions as to how our social media can be improved, undertaking specific projects.
- Create the monthly parish magazine contribution
- Creation of invoices and ensuring payment
- Payment tracking and balancing on spreadsheet
- Seeking and attending courses to enhance your skills
Salary & Benefits:
8 Hours per week Living Wage (currently £12.60 per hour) + pro rata holidays
