Children at Bream Church of England Primary School have been reflecting on the Easter story with the help of the Experience Easter resource from Jumping Fish.
Experience Easter gives people the chance to immerse themselves in the Easter story through six interactive stations.
The event was put on at the school in the last days of term and was led by one of the school’s foundation governors (the governors who link the church and the school) and a volunteer team from St James’ Church.
One of the children said, “It made us think about what sacrifice, forgiveness, love and making up with others means.”
Headteacher Nicky Brice said, “Easter is the most important festival in the church year, and we wanted to embrace this with the children giving by them the opportunity to flourish and gain a deeper insight into the story of Easter.
“Children ranging in age from 4 years old to 11 years old took part in the experience and each child left with a deeper understanding of how the story of Easter can inspire them to “be the best they can be”, which links beautifully with our vision.”
