Bishop Rachel has spoken in the House of Lords twice today; in response to the King’s speech on Tuesday, and asking a question on the “Humanitarian Situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories” (see below).
Speaking in the House of Lords debate on the King’s Speech
Bishop Rachel said, “We need courageous, data-driven and joined up decision-making if we are to truly change this country for the better. And it does not begin with tough ‘law and order’ rhetoric.”
This follows the King’s speech on Tuesday setting out the Government’s priorities for the parliamentary session.
