The ‘Follow the Star: Join the Song’ Advent calendar is a fun and educational way for children and their families to mark Advent and celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas. With stickers for every day of Advent, build the fold-out, stand-up crib scene and read the rhyming Nativity story sheet, which tells the story of how – and why – Jesus came to be born in Bethlehem.

Join the song

As part of the ‘Follow the Star: Join the Song’ campaign, the Church of England has released a brand-new carol, ‘The First Nowell’, which will see churches across the country joining the song and singing this and other carols old and new to celebrate Jesus’ birth. Sheet music of the new carol is freely available for choirs or music groups wishing to perform the song, together with learning tracks and individual parts.
