A special Christmas in schools: stories from the Diocesan Education News

Published: Sunday January 10, 2021

Thank you to all the schools who worked so hard to make Christmas really special in their schools.  We really appreciated you sharing your Nativities and carol concerts with us – either directly or via twitter @glosdiocschools or through your websites.

Your creativity, IT skills, partnerships and commitment are a real living out of your schools’ Christian visions and reflect the Church of England Vision for Education.  Thank you for sharing your joy.
Thank you also to the parishes, community groups and volunteers who also supported the school communities and their families at this time.  May we all look forward to the term ahead together.

Congratulations to Natalie from Redbrook CofE, Becky from Down Ampney CofE and Jo from St John’s Coleford who have all been successful in their applications to undertake the CofEPQH this year.  Thank you also to those headteachers who have agreed to mentor Natalie, Becky and Jo.

We also have two new trainee inspectors for the Diocese of Gloucester who started their national training online in November.  This is a very rigorous training course – we wish them the best of luck and hope that their homework tasks go well too.
