Church, school and community host Christmas tea

A room full of people socialising and sitting at dining tables with presents in front of them. There is a cross on the wall and the building looks like a churchChristchurch, Forest of Dean hosted an ‘Over 75’s Christmas Tea’, funded by the community.

The food was provided by a local business. Local schools entertained the people who came along, and volunteers from the church and community worked together to bring some Christmas cheer and companionship to just under 50 local people.

The Revd Tony Williams said, “Sadly a number felt they couldn’t join as they were nervous about such a gathering, but we hope that they will be able to attend next year. This event is a great example of enabling community, using what God has given us and working in partnership with those around us.”
