How are we called into discipleship?

We meet students from around Cheltenham to discuss how God calls us, and what we might be called to do!

Bishop Rachel went along with the Revd Pauline Godfrey, to chat through what is often a difficult topic to discern. Bishop Rachel says, “God’s asking you to be you; that doesn’t mean that God doesn’t want us to continue to change because we do need to constantly be asking for forgiveness and changing, but actually God wants you to be you!”

The Revd Pauline says, “I have people come to me and say ‘I want to give myself full time to God’, and they think that means coming in and being a minister in the church whereas actually I think sometimes God’s saying to them yes I want you to give yourself full time to me, but I want you to do it out there in the world and I want you to BE church, not be IN church but BE church and change and transform people are out there in the world in what you’re doing.”
